Work Ethics

Ironically, it is not trivial to find uninterrupted time to do math consistently while doing a PhD in operations research. It is easy to spend an entire month coding and writing without having to pick up a pencil even once!

I want to become a better mathematician, so I decided to protect some time each day to do a little math!

And to make sure I do not slack off and give it up for the immediate gratification of short-term productivity, I decided to share my working hours here for the world to see!

Nothing like good old social pressure :)

I am using Toggl to track my progress and will be attaching my monthly reports below. In the near future, I also plan to update this page with the specific materials I am studying outside of research.

The first page of each report contains a short description of how the hours are being counted, followed by the goals for each period.
